Laura Morrison is a Masters student at the VU in the program the Law and Politics of International Security. She is in Amsterdam on a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship. She previously completed a Bachelors degree at the University of Ottawa in politics and history. In that time she spent one year studying at the Universitat Heidelberg in Germany.
Laura is interested principally in international diplomacy, international organizations and how domestic and foreign law can overlap on security issues. With ALF she hopes to build on an international network of people who contribute to and read the journal.
Sofie Dreef is an LL.M student at the Vrije Universiteit studying Law and Politics of International Security. Prior to her Masters she obtained her Bachelor of Arts from University College Maastricht. As part of her Bachelors, she did an exchange program at the George Washington University.
In her studies Sofie focuses on both international relations and international law. She hopes to use this knowledge to help publish a diverse and high-quality journal that is interesting for peoples in all different fields of study. Moreover, Amsterdam Law Forum provides a podium for excellent students. One of Sofieâ€™s goals is therefore to get many students enthusiastic for reading and writing for ALF.
